Graduate Level
Practicum & Internship Program

Our mission is to assist in the equipping of licensed clinical mental health providers who desire to grow in providing spiritually and clinically integrated informed care as

they seek to help people. 

Now accepting applications for Fall 2025!

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled graduate students who are completing requirements for a master’s level degree in mental health, counseling, or closely related fields of study, and are seeking state licensure (LCMHC, LCSW, or LMFT),

  • Demonstrate interpersonal communication skills and a professional demeanor,

  • Interest in providing spiritually and clinically informed mental health care.

  •  Candidates must be able to see clients within Cornerstone’s normal operating hours (Monday-Saturday 8am-7pm).

What to Expect:

  • Exposure and experience in a clinical mental healthcare private group practice setting

    •  Short- and long-term counseling opportunities

    •  Crisis intervention and risk assessment

    • Work with diverse populations

  • Weekly individual supervisions and quarterly group supervision provided by a fully licensed clinical mental health counselor.

  • Maintain a manageable caseload of clients and paperwork

  • Practice implementing and integrating various therapeutic approaches

Commitment:

  • Orientation and training prior to official internship start date,

  • 10-15 hours per week, depending on student's practicum and internship hours needed to complete,

  • Attend mandatory quarterly group supervisions on pre-determined Friday mornings 10:00am-11:30am.

  • Continuity of care for clients throughout duration of practicum and/or internship enrollment. *Continuation of placement will be based upon student’s academic requirements, as well as their performance on site and in the classroom,
