Qualifications:
-
Currently enrolled graduate students who are completing requirements for a master’s level degree in mental health, counseling, or closely related fields of study, and are seeking state licensure (LCMHC, LCSW, or LMFT),

Demonstrate interpersonal communication skills and a professional demeanor,
-
Interest in providing spiritually and clinically informed mental health care.

Candidates must be able to see clients within Cornerstone’s normal operating hours (Monday-Saturday 8am-7pm).
What to Expect:
-
Exposure and experience in a clinical mental healthcare private group practice setting
-
Short- and long-term counseling opportunities
-
Crisis intervention and risk assessment
-
Work with diverse populations
-

Weekly individual supervisions and quarterly group supervision provided by a fully licensed clinical mental health counselor.

Maintain a manageable caseload of clients and paperwork
-
Practice implementing and integrating various therapeutic approaches
Commitment:
-
Orientation and training prior to official internship start date,
-
10-15 hours per week, depending on student's practicum and internship hours needed to complete,
-
Attend mandatory quarterly group supervisions on pre-determined Friday mornings 10:00am-11:30am.

Continuity of care for clients throughout duration of practicum and/or internship enrollment. *Continuation of placement will be based upon student’s academic requirements, as well as their performance on site and in the classroom,
