Rachael is currently enrolled at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary where she is working toward her Bachelor’s and Master's in Christian Marital, Family, and Individual Counseling. Rachael has completed her Bachelor’s level coursework, and is currently working to complete her Master’s level coursework.
Rachael is dedicated to partnering with each client by understanding their unique experiences and addressing their challenges in a holistic manner. She firmly believes in the importance of considering the individual as a whole when tackling their struggles and is committed to guiding clients on their journey toward improved well-being. With experience working with children and young adult women, Rachael has witnessed the significant transformations that can occur when issues are approached comprehensively.
Rachael is committed to engaging with her clients through Cognitive Behavior Theory (CBT), while also incorporating complementary approaches such as Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as appropriate. She recognizes the uniqueness of each individual and tailors her approach to meet the specific needs of her clients within their distinct contexts. Rachael’s counseling areas of interest include, but are not limited to, Anxiety, Life Transitions, Depression, Family Relational Issues, Trauma-Related Disorders, Emotional Regulation, Sexual Abuse, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Self-Harm, Grief, and Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Additionally, she is open to integrating faith into the counseling process if it aligns with the client's preferences.
Her goal is to empower others to enhance their circumstances, outlook, or mindset, enabling them to lead more fulfilling daily lives. Rachael has a background in educational settings, providing her with insights into the needs of young individuals. She strives to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment where clients feel comfortable and valued as they work toward mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual healing.
In her spare time, Rachael enjoys playing the piano, socializing with friends, thrifting, enjoying time with her church community, and exploring local coffee shops.
