Jocelyn is a Licensed Dietitian in North Carolina (#L007367). She received her Master’s from East Carolina University’s Nutrition Science and Public Health Program in 2023. Jocelyn completed her Dietetic Internship at East Carolina Family Medicine, East Carolina Pediatric Specialty Clinic, ECU Health Hospital (Formally Vidant Hospital) and East Carolina University Sports Medicine. Prior to her graduate work, since 2016, Jocelyn has worked for the Food- based Early Education (FEEd) Lab to help young children (age 3-5 years), parents, and teachers improve picky eating and fruit and vegetable consumption. She currently serves as the Assistant Director of the FEEd Lab at North Carolina State University.
 

Jocelyn is passionate about helping others establish a healthy relationship with food and their bodies. She believes that food is not only the fuel that keeps us going but rather an integral part of our lives that is deeply connected to family, culture, relationships, and overall wellbeing.
 

Jocelyn utilizes a partnership approach with clients where clients are treated as the experts of his/her own body and are invited to grow in their knowledge, self-worth and autonomy related to health and nutrition. Jocelyn strives to help clients discover sustainable and rewarding healthy habits. Jocelyn works with children/parents, adolescents, and adults. Her scope of practice includes, but is not limited to the following areas: healthy eating, intuitive eating, disordered eating, picky eating, weight loss/gain, cooking skills, food safety, and conditions related to digestion and metabolism (Type 1/2 Diabetes, Irritable Bowel Syndrome etc). She is also a Go NAPSACC consultant for child nutrition.
 

During her free time, Jocelyn enjoys writing recipes, cooking, reading, and running. You can find
her on the weekends at the farmers market or on a hike with her husband Holden.
